Home » Senior Meal Delivery Franchise Heart to Home Enters Texas
Heart to Home Meals is expanding into Texas for the first time, signing a franchise agreement to bring chef-prepared meals to Dallas-Fort Worth. The senior meal delivery franchise announced the deal Tuesday, calling it the brand’s third new market in under 60 days as it races to keep pace with demand from an aging population.
The Texas signing is on track to open by the end of September, following August launches in Durham, North Carolina, and Somerset, New Jersey. Heart to Home Meals delivers chef-prepared, medically aligned meals directly to seniors’ homes, using trained drivers who build relationships and serve as an added point of connection. Part of the global apetito group, which reports more than $1 billion in annual sales, the brand offers 150-plus menu options tailored to different dietary needs, a standardized model that has let it open new markets in quick succession.
Company leaders tied the Texas entry to the size of the opportunity.
“We’re thrilled to welcome our first Texas franchise partner into the system,” Richard Peroe, senior director of franchise development at Heart to Home Meals, said in the announcement. “The DFW territory gives us a strong foothold into the country’s largest and fastest-growing senior markets, and we’re excited to see the impact this franchise will have across Fort Worth, Dallas, and the surrounding communities.”
The expansion rides a powerful demographic trend. Nearly 11,000 Americans turn 65 every day, and Texas’s senior population is growing faster than almost any other age group in the state. That so-called Silver Economy has turned services that help older adults age in place into one of franchising’s most talked-about categories.
For prospective owners, the pitch is a mission-driven business with the kind of recurring economics and clear demand they weigh before signing. Heart to Home Meals says it is actively recruiting operators across the Northeast, Texas, Florida and other high-demand regions as it builds out its U.S. footprint.
