i9 Sports has signed its 300th franchise, a milestone that underscores how quickly the youth sports franchise category is expanding. The Tampa based brand, the largest multisport youth sports provider in the country, announced the milestone on Tuesday, with the new territory landing in Greater York, Pennsylvania.
i9 Sports, part of the Youth Enrichment Brands portfolio, has grown on a service-based model designed to be simple to run. Its leagues operate on a one-day-per-week format that streamlines scheduling, staffing and field use, while centralized support and low overhead let owners manage leagues, camps and clinics across seasons. That mix of standardized programming and central support is the kind of repeatable system that lets a brand scale cleanly across markets, and it has helped i9 Sports attract both first-time and experienced operators.
Company leaders tied the milestone to rising operator interest.
“Reaching our 300th franchise is a huge achievement for the brand and our franchise system,” Ron Shimek, president of i9 Sports, said in the announcement. “We’re seeing strong demand from operators who value a proven, well-supported business model and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in their local communities.”
The 300th franchise says something about how the brand grows. It is owned by Jeremy and Katie Dillard, who first found i9 Sports while looking for a flag football league for their kids and spent eight seasons as participants before becoming owners. They plan to launch their first season this month, part of a pattern the brand sees often, where families in the program later buy in.
For the Dillards, the appeal was how the system runs.
“We were drawn to the i9 Sports model because of how well it runs and how accessible it is for families,” Jeremy Dillard, an i9 Sports franchise owner, said in the announcement. “From an operator standpoint, it provides a clear structure and the opportunity to build something meaningful.”
The signing lands during a strong year for i9 Sports, which was named to Franchise Business Review’s Top Low-Cost Franchises, an honor tied to franchisee satisfaction and reserved for brands with startup costs under $100,000. With low entry costs and recurring, community-based programming, the brand offers the kind of proven economics and brand confidence owners weigh before signing, a lane franchising keeps rewarding.
