Home » Perkins Serves a $4.99 Deal for National Pancake Day
Perkins is leaning into its signature dish for a food holiday built for it. The family-dining chain announced Monday a limited-time deal for National Pancake Day, offering its Great American Pancake Trio for $4.99 over a three-day window.
The offer runs Friday, September 25 through Sunday, September 27, and lets guests choose a stack of three pancakes in one of four flavors, Buttermilk, Chocolate Chip, Blueberry or Strawberry. It is available for dine-in and in-restaurant orders only, a nudge that pulls foot traffic into restaurants rather than to delivery apps. Canadian guests get a Classic Pancake Trio at $6.99 during the same window.
For a brand founded as a single Ohio pancake house in 1958, the holiday is a natural fit. Tying a low price to a nostalgic, family-friendly menu item is a proven traffic play, and the dine-in requirement doubles it as a bet on the in-restaurant experience, the kind of value-driven marketing shaping the category in 2026.
Company leaders framed the promotion around family.
“Pancakes have always been a guest favorite at Perkins, and National Pancake Day is the perfect opportunity to bring the whole family together to enjoy a stack,” Matt Carpenter, president of Perkins Restaurant and Bakery, said in the announcement. “With four delicious flavors to choose from at an incredible price, every family member can pick their favorite.”
A limited-time deal across a family-dining system is also an operations exercise, since every location has to run the same offer cleanly over a busy weekend. For Perkins, a brand still leaning on scratch-made pancakes and a comfort-food identity, National Pancake Day is a low-cost way to remind families why they came in the first place, backed by the kind of repeatable systems that let a brand execute across every unit.
